This shirt is so cute, the material is great, the length and size are just right BUT the buttons aren't great. Even though the shirt is a little roomy on me, the buttons gape open like it would if it was pulled way too tight, and some of them just straight up come unbuttoned as I walk. I'll probably end up sewing the whole front closed because it is really cute, but I can't walk around with my shirt unbuttoning itself in public.

…the gaping between buttons. The knit fabric is just soft and stretchy enough to gape between buttons. It’s only slightly form fitting on me and it still gapes. But I love this top so much, the v-neck, the unique and adorable sleeves with the knitted fan motif at the edges. The unique texture of the ribbing with the little raised bumps throughout, add a certain whimsy, the beautiful matching buttons, the length, which is just right for tucking under high waist bottoms, and the off-white color. My solution was to slip stitch the top where the two pieces meet in the front with a needle and thread. Problem solved! Another possible solution is to size up, so it’s not form fitting at all and doesn’t tug the two pieces apart between the buttons. But I loved how the size large fit on me. I think the buttons make it feel just that much more special. Also, it looks much more polished with the two front pieces sewn shut, which works out for me since I don’t plan to unbutton the shirt for any reason.
